Hi Bob, long time no talkie... all is well. In case you haven't heard I have relocated, transferred with work to Montana. I have been here about 3 weeks and love it. I needed to get back to the mountains and cooler weather. The Texas heat was too much for me... and I missed the mountains and wildlife that you get in Montana. Hi Liz. Beautiful work. I always have a camera at hand and enjoy using Adobe Photoshop. For some reason, I seldom photograph people, but love doing nature shots. I notice that all of your moving water shots have a creamy quality. What shutter speed do you use for this effect? Thanks for sharing your work with us.

Hi Roger, Thanks so much for taking the time to comment. I like taking the candid shots of people alot. Nature is one of my favorites though. I change my shutter speed for the water shots depending on how bright it is outside. I try and use a ND filter to slow the shutter speed down as slow as I can get it without blowing out the bright spots. If you want more info email me and I'll explain in more detail. The wedding book you put together for my daughter, Nichole is more beautiful than I could have imagined.
I was most impressed with having a picture in black and white, then on the same page as if looking at a fairy tale book the picture(s) are partially then fully in color. The affect was amazing!! You did such a marvelous, personal job for them that I would recommend you to everyone looking for a photographer.
Of course, you have also taken the cutest and spontaneous pictures of my grandson, Jude. You are truly gifted and in the right profession.

The pictures are fabulous. I have a few that I particularly like, but they are all very good. I have a question though. There are two pictures at the bottom that you say you fixed up real quick, and so the others have had nothing done to them? Just wondering, because the ones you fixed were great. Thank you for the compliment on the site design. I made all of the pages, buttons, color scheme and the logo in photoshop and sent them all to my webmaster to put them together and make it work. He did a great job didn't he?
I've gotten alot of exposure from my website and more photo jobs from the site than from other areas, so if you are contemplating a website I highly recommend it.

Anyway - I originally looked at your people photos and was going to tell you how great those are and then I looked at your Nature ones and liked those even better. I just came to this site after "hanging out" at Fredmiranda.com and betterphoto.com so I have only posted 2 photos in the critique area..Ron's Gift and Red Bridge..hope to continue to add more! I'm from Round Rock, which is north of Austin. The area has grown so much it actually seems like one big city, but Round Rock is about 12-15 miles north of Austin.
The nature photos are my favorite to take although I've been having a lot of fun with the portraits. Thanks so much for your comments and your time. |
